Wild Out West: New Venture
Graphita Live Studio makes it possible for everybody to add expressive graphical effects to their photos. Drag-and-drop easy to use as a point and shoot camera. We developed this web app in 2007, four years before Instagram and others started using images for unique individual expression.
The homepage was unique in the way that rather than telling visitors how it worked, and what the app does, it just shows what is possible and has one active button: START
Each time someone visited the site, a random image was used to demo the product.
 
Brand was created to evoke magic of simple expression.
 
 
 
INTERFACES: drag-and-drop ease of use combines with simple gestures made adding expressive graphic effects as simple as using a point-and shoot digital camera.  It was a fun and engaging application designed for anyone to be able to create personalized images that they could order printed merchandise printed with.
 
CHECKOUT Ordering interfaces were streamlined and optimized to maximize conversions and checkouts.
The big trick was allowing anyone to edit an image, then share the event in Social media and including a link to open and edit that same image in the application.

In early 2007, the management of WildOutWest launched Graphita. The company developed and launched LiveStudio, a web application that gives consumers expressive graphical effects for their photos. The application evolved to become a custom shirt design tool.
 
WildOutWest was responsible for the name, brand, funding, web app development, marketing and promotion. The web application was developed in under 90 days, and found an immediate international audience. The site included tools for sharing images on social networks, and was promoted with images and widgets.
 
The application enables a new level of personalization, for the design and production of merchandise.
